source site In true Carney fashion, there wasn’t much time between R2R2R and our next adventure (a solid 3 days in DC to be exact). I didn’t intend to torture my body, it was just the only way to fit everything in….
orlistat 60mg Haley and I dreamed up a week-long trip for ourselves after IM Mallorca last fall. I went to the Banff film festival in DC in January and stumbled on this gem, and it was quickly decided we’d attempt to complete the Tour du Mont Blanc (a 107 mile trail around the base of Mont Blanc):
I knew the area from one of our Everest friends, Kat Follows, as she uses Chamonix as her home base. With a little more investigation we found out that not only could we do the 107 mile trail as a trek, but you didn’t even need to camp or carry your pack if you didn’t want to. There are huts and towns all along the route, so you could glamp, camp or just trail run the entire thing depending on your style.
We, of course, opted to camp and carry our packs the entire trail, and complete the trail in less than 6 days….. which led to some adventures and magnificent views! We’ll outline our original plan (in case anyone wants to try it!), and tell you some of the troubles along the way.
